Came in here on a Saturday for lunch. Was craving a Crab Louie salad. Restaurant was about 85% full. Was seated right away. The restaurant feels like it has been there for decades and has that boat harbor feel to it. The patrons are much older than I expected. I did feel like we were the youngest people in there and I am old. Clam chowder 4/5: this was rich and creamy with plenty of clams. As good as any good clam chowder should be. Crab Louie Salad 4/5: this was good and was to my expectations. Nothing special. Solid salad. Overall, I do feel the reason why the patrons are older is because they have not changed their menu for decades and the usual favorites have not changed. Service was good and lunch experience was pleasant. I would not make a special trip to this place but if I felt like a traditional seafood dish, in a traditional setting, this is the place.

It only took me 14 days to return. Why did I wait so long?!! This time I ordered the New England Clam chowder and it was delicious. That won't be my last cup of this creamy delicious soup . Was there during lunch and ordered the scallops, which comes with four or five different sauces to choose from. For the side I had the jalapeño scalloped potatoes . Note: you can get a half order which was perfect for a lunch size portion. Everything was fantastic including my server Allison.

Second time trying out this place and it continues to be amazing! I tried out the all you can eat mussels. It came with salad and fries, 3 different dipping sauces for fries and your choice of 3 different mussel flavors. Everything was so fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband was blown away too. Glad to know their quality of food and customer service is consistent. As a note, you do have to be apart of the loyalty club (it's easy and free to sign up) and have a reservation for the all you can eat mussels.

Another immaculate experience at WCYC. We dined here for their annual lobster month. We have been doing their lobster month for 7 or 8 years now. For as long I can remember... Cocktails: 5/5 * Filipa Pato 3B Rosé Brut Nature Bairrada, Portugal NV * whiskey sour * manhattan Food: * Assorted oysters: 5/5 * 4 summer love, 8 kumamoto (my favorite), 4 Barachois, 4 Malpeque * 4 lobster meals: 4/5 it consists of a 1.25 pound Maine lobster with regatta fries and coleslaw. It can be prepared boiled or grilled. We all choose grilled. Lobsters were perfectly cooked. The garlic fries were soooo good. And the coleslaw was so delicious and complimented the meal. Only thing is... I'm from the east coast. I'm used to Maine lobsters. Maine lobsters are served with corn/corn on the cob. I wish they offered corn/corn on the cob for lobster month. That would make it a perfect lobster meal... * Dessert: 5/5 Singing Dog Vanilla Bean Crème Brûle with complimentary Selvarey Cacao (panama) Atmosphere: 5/5 Atmosphere is always delightful. I feel like i'm in a yacht enjoying the most delicious and freshest seafood. Service: 4/5 - Rachel was our waitress. She was great, pleasant and efficient. My only qualm is before dessert, she took away all of our napkins and said she would bring new napkins for dessert. She served us our dessert and didn't remember to give us new napkins. * Shout out to Irena. She is an asset to WCYC. A true gem. She always makes sure everything is perfect for my dining experience at WCYC. Thank you so much, Irena... I appreciate you...

My birthday dinner went well. Everything is still good. The food is good. Our lobster was amazing. Our waiter was amazing. The service was amazing. Clam chowder was good. The french fries came out fresh and hot lobster first month for all club members. My crème brûlée was so delicious. I enjoyed myself. The ambience, of course was good. It was very packed and busy, but we enjoyed ourselves

Positive: the Manager, Irene. She greeted us and was willing to do whatever it took to make us feel welcome. Strangely, we had minimal interaction with our designated waiter. The manager, bus boy and the food runners did all the work. We asked him for bread and that never showed up. We ordered a lobster, a fish and chips, a chicken sandwich and a burger. They ALL came with fries and fries only. Opportunity for improvement to offer some options. Food was excellent. We should have ordered a salad or an appetizer. Negative: The expansion space is not connected internally so you have to go on the street to be seated or to use the restroom. Highly recommended, thanks to Irene.

It's baaackk! Lobster Month at Walnut Creek Yacht Club If you are a loyalty member (free to join and lots of perks) you can make a reservation for a lobster dinner with all the fixings for $35! This includes a whole main lobster boiled or grilled, THE BEST garlic fries on the planet, and some very tasty coleslaw (this coming from a coleslaw hater). Our dinner was probably the best it's ever been! We started with huge martinis and a selection of fresh oysters. Then we split a ceasar salad (pictured is a half portion). OH and how can I forget they have the best bread and butter (upon request)- creamy fresh butter and fresh baked sourdough. Both our lobsters were HUGE and so meaty! I prefer mine boiled (cooked in its own juices) but grilled is also a fav. We were so full that we had no room for dessert!

We came here for the first time for the happy hour and we were impressed with the quality of the oysters! We ordered the fish taco as well but it was just ok. WCYC has a Monday mussels madness and it's sooo worth it! The mussels were cooked in a white/red wine/ curry sauce and they were fresh and delicious. The fries were freshly made that came with different dips. We also got several drinks from their extensive drink menu. Our dinner experience here was just incredible. I would definitely come back! Shoutout to Alison for amazing service!

We've always turned to the Walnut Creek Yacht Club for our special occasions, and today was no different as we enjoyed a pre-anniversary early dinner. We were seated in a cozy booth and promptly attended to. We kicked things off with a dozen of our favorite Kumamoto oysters--absolutely delicious as always. Next up, we shared Joe's salad with Point Reyes Blue cheese, followed by the Manila clams with sausage and red wine sauce--both dishes were amazing! To drink, my wife had her favorite cranberry juice while I opted for a refreshing German Pilsner on draft, followed by a Woodford Reserve straight. The meal and service were top-notch as usual. To finish the evening, I indulged in an Absinthe drip over a cane sugar cube. It was an extraordinary experience, the perfect end to an excellent meal. WCYC never lets us down on our special days. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent experience at the WCYC that isn't anywhere near the water. Cute restaurant with a ton of yachting-inspired decor and EXCELLENT service. Everything we had here this afternoon was delicious - from calamari to mussels to the oysters. They have a pretty robust menu with lots of seafood options and a few non seafood options. The crab grilled cheese was AH-MAZING, and came with coleslaw and lightly garlicky garlic fries. The oysters were fresh and they offered at least 4 varieties. The halibut was prepared well and the side of mashed potatoes was creamy! Just went you've had more than enough to eat, they bring out the dessert menu and you just can't resist. The creme brulee and sundae were both excellent, but didn't stand a chance against the peach cobbler which was a 10/10 and served with a French vanilla ice cream.
